Boston 9 Oakland 8 (14)

I have to be brief this morning. The Boston Red Sox defeated the Oakland A's by a score of 9-8 in fourteen innings yesterday at Fenway Park. Papelbon turned a big lead into a tie and the innings marched on. Aceves pitched well in the extra frames and JD Drew had his first hit of the game that won it. The fans who were still there went wild. But I'll leave you with this one thought...can Papelbon continue his juggling act without manager Terry Francona doing something about it? I don't know about that but there's another game to be played this afternoon at 1:35pm EDT. It'll be a sorely missed Lackey versus Anderson before a day off Monday. On Tuesday, the Yankees await.

Thanks for stopping in, click on this post's title for more and as always, BE WELL.
