Damon To The Motor City? UCONN Women Go For 66th Straight Double Digit Victory...Winter Olympics All Weekend!

It's a mixed bag on this Saturday in the latter stages of February. I don't need to comment on Tiger Woods' (heartfelt?) statement yesterday. Most likely you've all seen or heard it. 'Nuff said about that. Period.

It is said that the Detroit Tigers have offered ex-Yankee Johnny Damon a contract. They are vying with the Atlanta Braves for his services. He's still a force at the plate but he shouldn't go to a team whose park has a huge outfield. He has an air gun for a throwing arm. I hope he'll go to Hotlanta. If so, we won't see much of him at Friendly Fenway, a place NOT "friendly" to him no matter who he's playing for. Never will be, too. No way, no how.

The University of Connecticut national champion women Huskies basketball team, the best in the land (by far) go for their 66th straight double digit victory today at 1pm at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut. I'll be there and it will be a rout...make no mistake about it. That won't stop me from yelling. Happy yells! They're the best kind.

That's all I have for you. Short but sweet, I guess. NBC's coverage of the Winter Olympics has been mesmerizing and if you click on this post's title, Sports Illustrated dot com will give you all the latest news from Vancouver, Canada.. Click away! As always, BE WELL.
