Number 14...Our Jim Ed Rice

Yes, Jim Ed Rice joins the Red Sox immortals. Number 14 is in our hearts for all to see. FOREVER.

I'll have more tomorrow about our number 14 and Daisuke Matsuzaka's recent complaints blaming the Red Sox for his shoulder woes. WAH-WAH (idiot).

Thanks Jim Ed.

More spam. I had to limit commenters to only registered users. That's 99% of you. No more spam...I hope. Peter

Although I am never one for airing one's dirty laundry in public, I don't think Dice-K is an idiot. I think he has a point-the Sox have tried to take him amd turn him into something he isn't-they don't like the walks and the high pitch counts but that has always been a part of his game-and this is the result. They are going to have to find some way of incorporating his natural pitching style and comfort level or he will never throw another successful pitch for them again.
I personally think they should have left well enough alone.

Lisa, I had just watched Everybody Loves Raymond and that word came to mind. But it's inconceivable to me that 48 hours after a private meeting, he goes to the media.

Hey, it's great to hear from you!! By the way, his shoulder wasn't well...not at all. Too much too soon in the WBC. Peter
