Tuesday...Face To Face Negotiation Day

"Boras said he planned to meet with the Red Sox executives all day Tuesday."

Peter here, and yes, today is Tuesday. Unusual circumstances demand this second post in as many hours. For if today comes and goes without a gutbusting newsbreaker of a Red Sox story, then that spells trouble. And that starts with T which rhymes with P and that stands for pitcher (thank you THE MUSIC MAN). So we wait, and hope, and wonder about Scott Boras' thought process.....sane or insane? Or just quirky? Pick your favorite adjective....he baffles me. Totally. I could do without him. Couldn't you? I'd love to hear your comments as we wait and wonder. Thanks. I'm watching the clock, and the sports wires. Ready to leap for joy or curse Mr. Boras and the used bus he rode in on.

Yeah Boras didn't get the nickname Baseball's Antichrist for nothing. Teams hate to negotiate with him, fans hate his activities, only one person likes his way of doing business - his client. He holds the cards in this deal. If he has determined that he can make more money on his side of the table next year, then he will hold out until then. He's certainly not going to starve if the deal doesn't get done.

Maybe he's had too many dinners with Cashman and it's become fun for him to turn the screws on the Red Sox. I think these dealings are infuriating and the Red Sox are probably going to have to get a lot closer to Boras' numbers to close the deal.

I'll bet Scott Boras' middle initial is O.

There's too much at stake, especially on the Dice Man's side, for this to fall through. The deal will get done.

And boy, as a fan, I HATE Boras.

Quinn, I agree...and BFW, in this case, which was my point, his client MIGHT BE CLUELESS. And that would be a shame. Thanks guys.....
